Repairs

We offer free repairs on non-antique jewelry purchased within one year of the purchase date. We will send you a shipping label, at which point you may mail the piece back for repair.

Antique jewelry is sold in as-is condition, we find that wear commensurate with age is what gives our pieces their charm. With that being said, we disclose any minor defects in our product descriptions, and make them apparent in our product photos. We inspect, clean, and repair all of our jewelry before putting them up for sale on our site. In the unlikely event that your antique arrives damaged, please email us at sales@keepersny.com. Repairs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we will advise you on how to move forward.

All of the gems and their settings are inspected in house and by our expert jewelers. We make sure to tighten or replace any loose stones before we sell them to you, so there shouldn't be any problems. However, small antique cabochons like turquoise, pearls, or opals, can be prone to falling out of their setting or cracking over time. If this happens, please email us at sales@keepersny.com. We will review the damage and can point you in the direction of a reputable local jeweler, or will recommend for it to be shipped back to us to repair in house.

Antique jewelry requires thoughtful wear, which means absolutely no swimming, showering, exercising, washing up, or manual labor with your pieces on. Any contact with harsh modern chemicals or activities that will cause abrasion are an absolute no when you are wearing these pieces. Remember, the piece has been protected for generations, you are now its keeper, so you must take care of it for future generations to adore.

Most antique rings can be resized unless we say otherwise. We charge $90 each time a ring needs resizing. You can choose to get your ring sized by us or by a jeweler in your area, but be sure to find someone who is experienced in antique restoration.
